Salt Lake Kids Camp- June 2025
B3 Foundation’s 6th Annual Free Youth Football Camp: A Day of Heart, Hustle, and Community in Salt Lake City
On June 26, 2025, the B3 Foundation hosted its 6th Annual Free Youth Football Camp at Skyridge High School in Salt Lake City, an event that has grown into one of the most anticipated youth sports days of the summer. What started years ago as a simple idea from Garett Bolles, to give kids a chance to fall in love with the game and believe in themselves, regardless of background, has evolved into a major community moment. Between this year’s Denver and Salt Lake camps, more than 3,000 kids came out to learn, sweat, laugh, and chase big dreams.
But for Garett, this camp has never been only about football. It’s about creating a place where kids feel supported, encouraged, and seen. A place that reminds them that working hard and believing in themselves can change their entire path. And in Salt Lake, surrounded by the mountains that shaped his own childhood, that message hits especially close to home.
This year’s camp had everything, perfect June weather, energetic kids ready to compete, passionate volunteers, generous sponsors, and a community that showed up in full force. Most importantly, it was a day filled with the values that define Garett’s journey: overcoming obstacles, putting in the work, having fun, and always finishing strong.
A Homecoming Filled with Purpose
For Garett Bolles, returning to Utah always feels like stepping into a chapter of the story that made him who he is. Skyridge High School, sunlit, busy, and buzzing with anticipation, was the perfect backdrop for a day built on hope and hustle.
As families arrived early that afternoon, parents and kids spread across the field, tying cleats, and checking in for what many kids wait all year to be part of. Some were first-timers. Some had attended every year. All of them came ready to learn.
Even though the camp carried the name “B3 Foundation’s Youth Football Camp,” it was intentionally unofficial, approachable, and family-oriented, a reflection of what Garett wants his community work to feel like: accessible, open, and free of barriers. Every kid belongs here. Every kid can participate. Every kid can dream.
A Big Turnout and an Even Bigger Energy
With kids ranging from 3rd grade through 8th grade, the field was full from end zone to end zone. Some kids arrived wide-eyed and quiet. Others ran straight toward the drills with the confidence of seasoned athletes. From the beginning, the energy was undeniable, upbeat, hardworking, ready to go, and excited to impress Garett.
That’s something Garett sees every year. Kids don’t just come to run through cones or catch passes, they come to show him how determined they are. They want to make him proud. And that motivation is exactly what the camp is meant to spark: the realization that effort can change everything.
Parents lined the fence, cheering and taking videos while coaches, volunteers, and B3 Foundation staff organized stations around the field. The camp’s sponsors, Jersey Mike’s, Proud Source Water, and Just Ingredients, helped ensure the day ran smoothly, keeping kids fueled, hydrated, and ready to go. From cold water bottles to simple snacks to community presence, their support was essential in making the event accessible and enjoyable for every family.
Families, Football, and Community
One of the most special elements of the B3 Foundation camps is the presence of Garett’s own family. His wife and kids, his parents, aunts, uncles—the people who have supported him from the beginning—were all there cheering, encouraging, and creating the warm, family-centered atmosphere the camp is known for.

Seeing the Bolles family walking the sidelines, high-fiving kids, handing out waters, and celebrating small wins adds a sense of closeness that you don’t often find at larger sports camps. Garett’s story is not just about personal triumph, it’s about the village that helped him get here. And he’s intentional about showing kids that success is rarely a solo journey.
Every year, families share how meaningful it is to see NFL players and their families so present and so real, showing up early, staying late, and connecting with everyone. This year was no different.
Drills Designed for Growth: Speed, Skills, and Teamwork
As the camp kicked off, kids rotated through a series of stations that were structured to teach fundamentals while building teamwork and confidence. Even though each drill was designed with football in mind, the lessons applied far beyond the field.
Agility & Footwork
From ladder drills to cone weaves, the younger athletes practiced quick direction changes, balance, and controlled movement. Coaches reminded them that fast feet matter, but so does focus.
Position-Specific Work
Older kids ran through more advanced stations tailored to their interests, route running, stance work, blocking technique, hand placement, and leverage. Even without full equipment, they got the chance to understand the movements that build real football skill.

Speed & Competition Stations
Nothing lights up a youth camp quite like a good race. 40-yard dash competitions sparked friendly rivalries, bragging rights, and loud cheers from parents along the fence. Garett walked the sideline, encouraging every kid and reminding them that “winning” is not about crossing the line first, it’s about giving your full effort.

Teamwork Drills
Relay races, partner challenges, and group competitions helped kids break out of their shells and connect with teammates they’d just met. These were the drills full of laughter, loud instructions from coaches, and lots of encouraging claps.

Throughout the day, kids weren’t just learning how to play, they were learning how to work with others, how to push through frustration, and how to translate effort into progress.
Garett’s Message: Work Hard, Overcome Obstacles, Have Fun, Finish Strong
Everyone gathered around Garett as he stepped up for his yearly motivational talk. It’s something the kids look forward to just as much as the drills, because his story is one they can see themselves in.
Garett spoke openly about working hard, overcoming obstacles, having fun in the process, and always finishing strong, no matter what challenges stand in the way. He reminded the kids that he wasn’t the most polished athlete growing up, but he was driven, sometimes stubbornly, but always with heart. And that heart carried him farther than talent alone ever could have.

He shared that every kid on that field has potential. It doesn’t matter where they come from. It doesn’t matter what they’ve gone through. What matters is how willing they are to keep going when things get tough.
Kids listened intently. Some nodded. Some whispered to friends. Some looked at the ground, absorbing every word. And as he wrapped up, the message landed the way it always does, with hope, energy, and a spark that only grows as the camp continues.
A Beautiful Day for Football
Despite the heat of a hot June afternoon, the weather couldn’t have been better for a football camp. The sky was clear, the sun was strong, and the field felt alive. Volunteers and sponsors made sure kids stayed hydrated with Proud Source Water, and coaches gave quick breaks between stations when faces started getting red.
But even in the heat, the effort never dipped. Kids gave everything they had, running hard, competing fiercely, and smiling big as they moved station to station. The excitement of being coached by an NFL player is powerful fuel, and it showed all day long.
Moments That Stood Out
Beyond the drills and speeches, it’s the small, unscripted moments that shape the heart of the camp:
- A shy third grader scoring in a relay and getting mobbed with high-fives from teammates he’d met only hours earlier.
- A young lineman asking Garett how he can “be tough even when things are hard,” and hearing him respond with honesty and encouragement.
- Garett staying long after the camp ended to sign shirts, take pictures, and talk with families who wanted a moment to thank him.
These are the pieces that make the camp so much more than a football event, they make it a memory kids will hold onto for years.
A Culture of Giving Back
The B3 Foundation’s mission has always centered on support, opportunity, and empowerment. Camps like this aren’t about scouting talent or pushing pressure, they’re about opening doors. They’re about creating space where kids feel capable, confident, and cared for.
By keeping the camp free, the foundation ensures that no child is excluded because of financial limitations. Sponsors like Jersey Mike’s, Proud Source Water, and Just Ingredients step in to make that possible.
And none of it happens without the community: the volunteers, parents, teenage helpers, coaches, and families who believe in the impact the camp creates.
Leaving Better Than You Arrived
By the time the camp wrapped up, the field was filled with tired legs, sweaty shirts, and huge smiles. Kids gathered with their families, comparing favorite drills, bragging about races, and talking about “that one time Garett told me good job.”
Some left with new friends. Some left with more confidence. All left better—physically challenged, emotionally encouraged, and mentally inspired.
That’s what these camps are built for.
And as the sun lowered behind the Wasatch Mountains, Garett took one final look around the field, kids heading to cars, parents packing up bags, volunteers cleaning up equipment, and felt the same gratitude he feels every year. Because for him, this isn’t an obligation or an event on the schedule. It’s one of the most meaningful days of his year.
Looking Ahead
With roughly 3,000 kids participating across the Denver and Salt Lake camps this summer, the impact continues to grow. And as the B3 Foundation looks ahead to future years, one thing remains the same: the mission to uplift young people through mentorship, opportunity, and encouragement.
As long as there are kids willing to show up and work hard, Garett will be there to pour into them, teaching them not just how to play football, but how to face challenges, believe in themselves, and finish strong in every part of life
